PD Engineering Consultancy Ltd provided architectural metalwork and specialist plantroom metalwork services for the Putney Vale development in London, delivered for Kind Build.

Our scope of works included the design coordination, fabrication support, and installation detailing of bespoke architectural metal elements, alongside functional metalwork within the plantroom environment. All works were developed to meet project specifications, site constraints, and relevant safety and building regulations.

The plantroom metalwork was engineered to support mechanical systems while ensuring durability, accessibility, and long-term operational performance. Architectural metalwork elements were delivered with a focus on quality, precision, and integration with the overall building design.

Watford Riverwell

Watford, UK

PD Engineering Consultancy Ltd was engaged by Kier to deliver the manufacture of balconies, balustrades, staircases, and associated architectural metalwork for the Watford Riverwell’s development.

Our scope included the fabrication of high-quality structural and architectural metal components designed to meet project specifications, safety standards, and durability requirements. The balconies and railings were manufactured to ensure structural integrity while maintaining a clean, modern finish consistent with the overall architectural vision of the development.

Staircases and secondary metalwork elements were produced with a focus on precision, buildability, and compliance with relevant building regulations. All works were coordinated to support efficient installation and integration with the wider construction programme.

Horizon St Georges Hill, Weybridge

PD Engineering Consultancy Ltd was appointed to deliver specialist architectural engineering and fabrication support for The Gardenists project, where complex existing site geometry required a highly accurate digital workflow.

Due to the irregular and non-standard geometry of the site, a full 3D LiDAR scan was undertaken to capture precise spatial data. The resulting point cloud was used to generate accurate digital models, allowing the existing conditions to be fully understood before design development commenced.

Using the point cloud data, our team produced detailed CAD models and fabrication drawings, developing bespoke steel sections that aligned precisely with the scanned geometry. This process ensured that all components were engineered to fit first time, minimising on-site adjustments and installation risks.

The fabricated sections were then installed on site in line with the digital models, achieving accurate alignment with the existing structure and surrounding architectural features. This approach significantly improved installation efficiency and ensured a high-quality final finish despite the complexity of the site conditions.

This project demonstrates our ability to combine advanced surveying technologies, digital modelling, and practical fabrication expertise to deliver precise, buildable solutions in challenging environments.

Freemans Green

Luton, UK

PD Engineering Consultancy Ltd delivered the design development, fabrication support, and installation of bespoke Juliette Balconies for the Freemans Green development on behalf of Luton Council.

The project comprised first-floor Juliette balconies manufactured from satin-brushed stainless steel, incorporating frosted glass infill panels to provide both privacy and a contemporary aesthetic. All visible metalwork was finished with polished, seamless connections, ensuring a clean and refined appearance throughout.

Particular attention was given to detailing, tolerances, and finishes to meet the durability, safety, and visual standards required for a public sector development. The Juliette balconies were engineered and manufactured to comply fully with relevant building regulations and load requirements, while maintaining a high-quality architectural finish.
